Paralegal’s are licenced by the LAW SOCIETY of ONTARIO to provide legal services in specific areas of law. Ontario Paralegals who spend most of their time in these courts and can be more experienced than a Lawyer in that area of the law.
This means Paralegal is better suited to handle certain matters in these areas of the law.

Limitation Period
In Ontario most situations have limitation period of 2 years form the date of the cause of action. This means that if you want to take legal action, it must be within the 2 year period of when you first became aware of the cause of action.
Time to respond
In all cases, both civil and criminal there are specific time periods to respond to a claim or charge. You must respond within the time allowed or you may lose your right to defend yourself.
